Our Philosophy of Giving
Blessing Stream is a place where you can "Show Your Love" by contributing to Streamers who produce fantastic video content and the charities they support. Plus your giving helps support Blessing Stream as we extend our little community far and wide across the world.
If you're not able to contribute, that's OK. We want you to come streaming with us no matter what.
Blessing Stream is free for everyone to use. Come be a part of our community in whatever way you can. We can't wait to meet you and welcome you into our lives. We want to enrich the lives of the people we touch in many ways. Hopefully, you will come to know Jesus in a more personal way and feel the love of God because we are here.
We follow the contribution model of one the most successful Internet community and publishing platforms in the world. Here's how we do it:
Streamers: If you're a Streamer and upload a video, we offer an opportunity for you to receive contributions from people who watch your videos. It's a way for viewers to say "thank you" for the great video experience or support your charity. Givers simply click on the "Show Your Love" link below the video to make a contribution. Some Streamers have us pass all of the contributions directly on to their charity. That's cool. In some cases, the Streamer is the charity. That's cool too.
Givers: For those who want to contribute, you can "Show Your Love" on Blessing Stream. You can decide where the discretionary portion of your contribution goes: either to the Streamer or the charity the Streamer is supporting.
This is how we break it down: When you contribute, we send 80% directly to the Streamer or their charity. In many cases, Streamers ask us to pass on all or part of the contribution to charity.
That leaves 20%. We keep this remaining amount to cover our overhead and various other things. Blessing Stream also supports charities with these funds.
It's really that simple. Your support can truly make a difference for the people you choose to help.
Note about costs: Blessing Stream uses huge amounts of bandwidth and server resources. This usage, the storage, transcoding and staffing required to make Blessing Stream happen, is very expensive. While we are not a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, we still have costs that would make it impossible to bring you this site without your support. Thank you for helping us bring Blessing Stream to the world. And, on behalf of our Streamers and charities, thank you for your contributions.
Peace. Love... the Blessing Stream.
